Online segment share hit a record low of 34% in December 2019 though shipments grew 11% YoY due to Christmas season. Amazon share hit 40% for three successive months for the first time ever in India. Xiaomi remains the largest contributor across both platforms with 40% and 55% share respectively.
Offline shipments grew 29% YoY as OEMs this year adopted hybrid channel strategy and 7% MoM driven by increase in vivo and OPPO shipments. vivo continue to lead offline shipments with 28% share in December 2019. It launched its online exclusive U series latest variant across offline channels too.
